Love in Times of Hyper Automation challenges the misconception that technology has made younger generations colder, lonelier, and less connected. In a world increasingly shaped by hyperautomation, the ways in which we express love and stay in touch have also evolved. Through interviews with friends, siblings, cousins, and various relationships, I sought to explore how young people navigate love in a digital age.
Each photograph in this project captures the essence of a relationship in a place significant to those involved. Whether it's a favorite restaurant, a workspace, or a creative environment, these images reflect the spaces where love and connection are nurtured. The images are drawn from the personal stories shared in the interviews, each reflecting how technology enables these relationships to thrive, helping people maintain closeness, express affection, and support one another despite physical distance.
This work aims to challenge the narrative that technology diminishes intimacy, showing instead how it provides new ways for relationships to flourish, adapt, and endure.
